At Thompson Quarter Horses, our goal is to specifically breed mares with the intention of producing a better foal then their sire and dam. We have been very successful in our program and continue to strive for the most versatile horse for the industry. “Cisco’s” get are sensible minded, easy to train and tend to carry his better than average bone. They also have “Cisco’s” combination of long and short muscle groups, which is mandatory for versatility. We specifically breed mares with at least as much speed and cow as “Cisco” has in order to take full advantage of the rate / run combination. The speed bred mares tend to need the cow breeding for the rate and the foundation bred mares do well with a bit more leg under their foals and that’s where we breed for more speed. "Cisco's get are being used in many different areas of riding and are showing the qualities that we are breeding for. All of our colts are halter trained, trimmed, vaccinated, including West Nile, de-wormed and hauled by six months of age.
