Stabling
Box stalls are available for rent at the fairgrounds on a first-come, first-served basis. The first two bags of shavings is provided. Sign-up information is located at the bottom of the show entry form.

Fees and Refunds

  • Please see premium book for exact fees - website fees may not be completely updated.
    A $2.00 fee will be charged for all post-entries.


  • Refunds on pre-entries unable to attend this show will be determined on a case-by-case basis by management. Pleas submit written explanation with applicable verification fro vet or doctor as appropriate.

  • Nomination fees and office charges are non-refundable.
    Stall fees for horses that have arrived on the grounds are non-refundable.

General


  • Management reserves the right to combine classes in which there are less than three entries. Non-designated MSHSA classes may be cancelled or combined if there are fewer than three entries.

  • All flat classes with 15 or more horses will be split before judging. The top four horses from each section will be brought back for a final work-off and class placings.

  • Questions and complaints of any kind must be presented in writing to the show office. Protests must be submitted with a $50 fee which will be forfeited if the protest is not upheld. Contestant wishing to lodge a protest must do so individually and such protest must be made within 24 hours of the alleged violation. Decision of show management on any matter is final.

  • Judges’ decisions will be final.

  • All MSHSA and GFAB classes will award ribbons to fifth place. MHJA classes will place to sixth.

  • All MHJA classes qualify members for MSHSA and MHJA year-end awards.

  • Membership applications are available in the show office.

  • All classes designated MSHSA or MHJA are approved for MSHSA, USA Equestrian Association or MHJA year-end awards and will be conducted in accordance with the respective rules of those organizations.

  • Discourtesy or disobedience to judges, officials by any participant, spectator or parent will result in the automatic disqualification of horse and rider and all fees, points and prizes will be forfeited

  • All riders shall be suitably dressed when entering the show ring.Numbers must be clearly visible to the judge.

  • The gate manager shall allow 3-minute gate holds. Five-minute gate holds may be requested for driving classes.

  • For the purpose of showing, a horse shall be considered one year old the first day of January following the actual date of foaling.

  • Cruel or abusive treatment of animals or poling of jumpers will not be permitted anywhere on the fairgrounds. Violators will be automatically dismissed and will forfeit all fees, points and rizes.

Hunter/Jumper


  • Non MHJA exhibitors must pay a $15 non-member fee or pay membership dues prior to show

  • A $2 drug fee per horse will be assessed by MHJA for random drug testing.

  • MHJA and MSHSA approved headgear is required at all times while mounted.

  • Protective headgear is required for all riders participating in classes over fences. Youth riders participating in jumping classes must wear protective headgear with the harness secured.

  • All fence heights are approximate

  • Martingales are not permitted in under saddle classes.

Youth Participants


  • No stallion may be shown in youth classes, and may not be shown by a youth in any class.

  • Age of youth exhibitors as of December 1, 2000 shall be maintained throughout the show year.

  • Junior exhibitors must have their parent or legal guardian sign the release form in order to participate in the show.

Management Policies


  • Portable stalls or pens are not allowed in the RV area. Exhibitors with portable stalls or pens are still subject to a stall fee.

  • RVs, campers and trailers on the fairgrounds must pay a fee of $17 per night.

  • All dogs must be kept on a leash while on the fairgrounds.

High Point Award Nomination

High Point Award Nomination Forms are distributed upon request.

  • A $5 fee is charged per nomination, per horse.

  • Nomination and fee must be made prior to qualifying a class for points to count.

  • High Point Horse awards will be based on point accumulation from qualifying youth and open classes.*

  • High Point Horse nominees may have multiple riders.

  • High Point Youth Exhibitor awards will be based on point accumulation from qualifying youth and designated open classes.*

  • High Point Adult Exhibitor awards will be based on point accumulation from qualifying adult and designated open classes.*

  • Youth or adult exhibitors may show more than one horse and earn points from both. The exhibitor’s nomination form must clearly state all horse names and numbers to be considered for the nominee.

  • High Point Hunter and Jumper horses may earn points on one High Point Nomination entry, but each horse nominated may have multiple riders

  • It is the responsibility of every rider to know the current rules of the MSHSA and MHJA.
